Nearish where Uncle Sam's choo choos come to visit, you'll find an understated but extremely elegant pedestrian bridge. Find your way exactly halfway across - and take a photo with the famous clock 150' aloft. Be sure to take it when the minute hand is pointing at a number and have your team's hands match!
Answer: Union Station
Find this "quadrilateral" homophone of the world's best-selling Irish booze. Once there, discover your inner youth, and hop on top of the fountain. In the phoot, spell out O-R (two person team) or P-D-X (three or more) - but here's the catch, you gotta wait for the waterworks to really get going before snapping the shot!
Answer: Jamison Square (and we're using sign language to spell PDX)
Take a photo on/near the buried location of any time capsule in the city - there are several (although one's locked inside City Hall). The one that's probably best to find fo ryour route can be found between two enormous bronze lions. In your team's photo, act out a scene from the decade the capsule was buried.
Answer: Entrance to China Town (acting out Top Gun planes because the capsule was buried in 1986 there)
Unscramble this anagram: TREBLE BILLY to find this gift from the people of Philadelphia. The one today is actually a replica of a replica - because the "original" was completely destroyed in a 1970 bombing, which remains unsolved to this day. When you find it, act out your "most American" scene with your target.
Answer: Liberty Bell
And, here's a look at our team name . . . : )
No first place prize for us, but we weren't out there hoofing it like many other teams. We did great for having a four year old and still finished faster than several other teams. : )
Our friends did make it in the top 25, so they get to go to nationals in New Orleans if they want to race again!
Maile just had to have her picture with this captain near the finish line.
Can't wait for next year!!!
