Maile loves her weekly sports class so much that she chose to have her birthday party with her sports teacher (Coach Ivan), featuring soccer as the sport.
Coach Ivan led the kids in tons of fun activities for an hour.
We were so glad to have Vincent there as the assistant coach. ; )
Maile designed shirts for all of the kids with a flaming soccer ball, their last names on the back, and their birthdays as the numbers. Not all the kids would wear them, but it was still adorable to see the kids in their "team shirts."
Maile likes soccer because she enjoys being the goalie. Ever since she learned the goalie could use hands, it's been her spot - even if she sits down on the job at times.
Looks like she recruited a few other teammates to be goalies with her . . . too bad that didn't leave much help for their team to score any goals.
Even though it was a soccer party, she selected a "bug" theme. She picked out a caterpillar cupcake design and ladybugs made out of strawberries and grapes (not pictured). She said, "What do soccer and bugs have in common? Grass!!"
She was excited to make a wish and blow out her number 5 candle!
