Sophia's Walk

Maile's been waiting a long time for this day! It was "Sophia's Walk Day" to her, aka Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis. The weather ended up being just right - overcast with some sun breaks.

Thanks to Melissa's awesome donors, we won the prize that let us be the leaders of the entire walk! There were over 700 walkers. (Although Melissa didn't raise the most by any stretch of the imagination, some calculation related to her donors on a certain day qualified her to win the prize.) It was nice to start the walk first and have our team announced at the beginning for being leaders of the pack.

Following the walk, we were able to ride the rides at Oaks Park.

It was a great day for a great cause. We hope the work continues to find a cure for CF soon!
