Almost 4!

She's not 4 until tomorrow, but Maile has already had her share of celebrations. : ) On Tuesday, she celebrated with her class at one of her preschools. She got to wear a special crown, and then the teacher asked her about her favorites:
color = purple
thing to do with mom and dad = go on vacation
food = pasta with chicken broth and marinara on the side
thing to play = "Hmmm . . . let me think about that. Oh! I like to play in the pit!" (in reference to the pits that Aaron builds at home with couch cushions)

She walked around "the sun" while holding the earth in her cape and crown.

Her favorite part of the celebration was the cupcakes!

Her other preschool celebrated her birthday, along with another child's birthday, by having an outdoor picnic. Unfortunately, the sunny morning turned into a near thunderstorm . . . tons of rain!! The children were cold, but they still seemed to enjoy themselves. After the picnic, Maile and the other birthday child go to pick the songs for circle time. It was a great week!
