We had no idea that snow was even in the forecast. We don't think the meterologists around here knew that either. Of course, Beaverton was the only district in the county that didn't have a closure nor a late start (not even snow routes for buses)!!
So, Melissa trudged off to work in her little Civic. After going through the first stop sign without being able to stop and narrowly missing two other vehicles, she figured that must be the worst of it and continued on. At the next stop, she was able to stop just fine. Unfortunately, she couldn't GO once she had stopped. There was no going left and no going right. Then a Suburban tried to pass her on the left and began sliding it's big ol' behind right towards her driver's side door. SCARY!!!! About four or five people came to her rescue with a shovel and ran to tell the Suburban to stop. Melissa's car is now on the side of the road where she left it before turning around and walking home.
Of course, Beaverton School District waited until well after the start of the day (when students and teachers were already at school or on their way) to cancel. GEESH!

Oregon looks ALMOST like Colorado!! Glad you survived without an accident though!!
