Happy 7th birthday!

Guest post by Mommy and Daddy . . .
Dear Precious Maile,
Happy 7th birthday!  How is this possible?  Although time is flying by, we have loved every minute of being your parents.  We absolutely cherish you and love you so very, very much!

Here is just a glimpse into who you are today, as a growing seven year old girl . . .

You are a child who . . .
. . . loves to climb - anything and everything, especially ropes and monkey bar poles!
. . . Is like a fish in water, never wanting to get out of a pool unless it is too cold!
. . . likes to be moving - while eating, waiting for a ball to come your way in the field, or pretty much any time.
. . .has created a folder for all of your invention ideas and dreams of going on Shark Tank one day.
. . . still loves to read whenever you can (even if moving while doing so).  You doubled your reading teacher's goal for yourself!
. . . is always planning for the future - events, special days, etc.
. . . planned and hosted your own camps for friends.
. . . laughs all of the time, especially when playing with your daddy.
. . . loves your cousins tremendously and wants to see them as much as possible.
. . . has started playing chess via chess club and loves it!
. . . loves to persuade others with lots of thoughtful reasons - a lawyer or salesperson in the making!
. . . has a very full calendar with play dates, sleepovers and activities.
. . . started soccer, softball and track this year.
. . . wants to be a writer and an inventor when you grow up.
. . . has incredible conversations with adults - with adults often telling your parents the same thing.
. . . has really developed a sweet tooth over the past year.
. . . still loves a variety of foods and especially likes raw salmon nigiri now!
. . . wants to travel to Venice to ride in the canals.
. . . lost your top and bottom front teeth this year.
. . . had a heart to heart talk with Mommy about the tooth fairy.
. . . tries to finish your homework on the bus, so you have more time to play when you get home.
. . . loves playing games with Duke and inventing ways to trap him.
. . . loves riding your bike!  You are about to do your first TRYathalon!
. . . has loved first grade with Mrs. Lambert, reading groups with Mrs. Brewer and special math group with Mrs. Phelps.
. . . now likes to get yourself up in the morning before anyone else wakes up.
. . . entered your first talent show contest - magic, of course!
. . . looks forward to reading your daily devo at night.
. . . makes us so happy every single day.

Happy 7th birthday, Mailea!  We are so grateful to be your parents.
With love,
Mommy and Daddy
