Fourth 4th!

Maile's fourth 4th of July did not disappoint! The first half of the day was spent up at the Tribous' cabin on Lake Merwin. It was gorgeous! It was such a fun day for the kids - a parade to star in, hot tub and kiddie pool to swim in, a slip 'n' slide, playground at the house, boat ride, sand play, delicious food and lots of people to play with.

When we heard there was going to be a parade, we had no idea that Maile would be IN the parade!

We somehow missed getting a shot of the amazing view of the lake from the cabin, but you can kind of see it here. The picture doesn't do it justice.

There was just something at every corner for kids to play with.

We couldn't have asked for better weather for a boat ride.


Unfortunately, the boat died on us in the middle of the lake. Everyone remained calm as they silently thought about who was going to have to swim to shore . . .

Luckily, Aaron's cell phone had service, and we were able to call for help. It wasn't until we were being towed that we found out the battery had just come unplugged!

We ended the day back at home, with a small bbq and fireworks with the neighbors!
