Halloween Repeat

As you probably know, Maile is not a big fan of change. She insisted on being the exact same thing she was last year for Halloween . . . an OSU Beavers cheerleader. : ) (Funny thing is - the original outfit was never really meant to be a costume, but a birthday gift from Grandma Paulina.) Well, we got a lot of use out of her outfit this year!

The festivities began with a party at one of her preschools. Actually, she was supposed to be in costume there, but we didn't realize it. We thought it was just a "fall festival" party. Oops. Oh, well. We had a blast, anyway.

The donut eating station seemed like a good idea at first. She took one bite, and the rest went into the trash.
They had the bouncy house set up!

As Maile waited for her turn with pumpkin bowling, she was getting her groove on to the music.

"Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin" (but refused to wear the blindfold)

The next celebration was the Halloween party at her other preschool. Aunt Susan was able to attend and take a few pics. Maile is not the daring type, so we were surprised to learn that she wanted to be the first one to swing at the pinata. Perhaps seeing her teacher dressed up like DJ Lance Rock helped.

Next, it was on to Gymboree. Gymboree had a special party for Halloween. We've never had this teacher before, but boy was she into her character. Maile seemed to enjoy herself. : )

Searching for some Halloween spiders . . .

The next day, we went trick or treating at the mall. Apparantly, it had been a tiring weekend. Maile fell asleep on the way there. Even after attempting to unbuckle, she was still out. Good thing she woke up when she heard me say we were ready to trick or treat . . .

Finally, it was time for the actual Halloween night! Maile enjoyed spending time with Sophia in old town Willamette. The street was perfect for young trick or treaters, and they even had a circus theme. Maile came home with a balloon animal, in addition to her treats. : )
